TGLB with Zebra Wood scales

Ever since I got my hands on a Team Gemini, it has been one of my favorite Busse :)
I got this stripped TGLB from the exchange not too long ago and I wanted to make my own scales for it.
I started with micarta, then red oak and finally the one I really like on it is the Zebra wood.
It took a lot of trial and error, my friend's scroll saw and a lot of Dremel time. ( its not perfect, I know I'm still a noob with this stuff)
I must say I really like the texture of the zebra wood. It feels great in my hands.
Something about wood scales on a TG just feels right!
Just thought I'd share this with you guys and gals....

I like how you echo the grooves of the original factory handles in your design, but yet you change it up enough to be refreshingly original. Heck, even the zebra wood itself is like a riff on the original grooves. Nice style!

Love 'em...piglet APPROVED!!!

Now how's the comfort level? On a scale of 1 - 10>>>>> with bare, uncovered TGLB I-beam handle being a "1" and res-C that's been sitting on your dashboard on a sunny Spring day being a "10"...how'd you rank your Zebrawood covers?

BTW speaking of bare TGLB's, if you get a couple minutes give us a good close up pic or two of the I-beam construction of the TGLB tang uncovered....THANK YOU! :)

Thanks for all the comments Guys!:)

Petey, Thanks, I added my own twist to the design.
It's actually pretty comfy and feels good in my hands (it will prob be an 8.5 out of 10)
Also I sanded down the ridges/grooves, but it still gives a nice grippy feel to it.
BTW, here's a couple pics of the I beam of the TGLB.

Horse stall mat is great for chopping competitions, but it'd be a shame to see that in place of the beautiful work already done by him IMO.
