Love the finish on that one. Is that a CF with a patina? Or stripped coated blade? Also, is that a convexed edge or V?

Sweet looking blade, and nice choppin'. I've been very impressed with my TG's chopping capabilities, and it doesn't wear my arm out. They really bite deep with the convex edge.

awesome pics! its always fun to just take a blade out and chop. thanks for sharing.

Nice pictures! That TGLB took care of that tree, no problem!

Nice pictures! Can you tell me what kind of Fox glvoes those are?

I believe they are an older version of the Dirtpaw. I like having my knuckles protected when I'm swinging the blade around, and these had the thinnest palm material (no padding, just suede).

Thanks for the music comments, gents! I only buy band shirts at the concerts. Oregon is pretty unique when it comes to music... I've seen Holy Grail, Amon Amarth (twice), and Chevelle at 500 capacity venues. It doesn't get much more awesome than being crushed against the three-foot high wooden stage while a sweaty viking is screaming in your face ;)

The more I see of the TGLB the more I think of it as a great survival knife for arm-chair survivalists like myself. I have two I ordered and paid for back in mid August and can't wait to receive them. Some people have referred to it as a tactical blade. If they are referring to tactical as something the military would use I think that is incorrect. My knowledge of the military is that a smaller blade would be preferrable. But as a "Jack of all Trades" style survival knife I think the TGLB hits the spot. Some would prefer a smaller knife for a survival knife but I think this one would be fine. It has a strong spine (I use the spine on my Basic 9 as the perfect tool for cracking open crab shells), a sharp blade, it is not prone to rust, the point of the blade is tough (hey, look what Darryl uses it for in the Walking Dead), hammering could be completed with the handle and as you have shown it can be used for chopping. I first gained an interest in knives all those years ago when I saw the first Rambo movie. Well Rambo, eat your heart out, I think your knife has been superceded many times over with the TGLB.
