While I don't have mitts like David Brown, I do have wear XXL Mechanix Gloves and use all of the handle and magwell of my 1911/2011's. I have several Choppers so I'm looking for a good cutter/slicer. Has anyone compared these two for Slicing / Cutting? I'm guessing the HR2 would benefit with some reprofiling to be more of a cutter.

Hmmm, I actually like both, but lean a little toward the TGULB.

Funny when the TG series first came out I was not a fan.

then as years went by and handling the TG style for literally thousands of sheaths it has become one of my favorites.

I have 5 TGULB's right now. LOL

I am lucky that Jerry and I have about the same size hands, he once at a Blade show put all my rings on and they fit like they were made for him.

So same size hands as Jerry , my fingers are just a bit longer ;)

Just an idea for those that have not got to meet me, the AA fits like a glove :)

The TGULB will slice circles around the HR2. On the other hand, I think the HR2 is more hand-filling and more bomb-proof (thicker). Not that the TGULB is a slouch by any stretch.

They're both great designs, but I might favor the TGULB a tad here. Slices better, lighter to carry, and I happen to like the top guard on it.

Mr. Brown, on the behalf of humanity, we thank you for not becoming a proctologist.

I have both and like them for different purposes. The TGULB is lighter and a better cutter. The HR2 is a better chopper. Now if you want an even lighter cutter and great slicer, buy a Dog Soldier 8. :)

One common misconception the WeeHanded make about us of large hand size is that we want big thick handles, in my case that is untrue.
I have nice big meaty hands so actually the thinner the handle the better for me.

Precisely why I like the TGULB better, the HR2 is kind of blocky and the TGULB is thin and curvy.

I even thought about rounding my Stonehenge down a bit.

As far as sharpness all of my TGULB's have been very very sharp, even air bleeding sharp straight from Busse.
The primary grind needs nothing done to it, in my opinion. again why I really like the thinness of the TGULB

TGULB Comp w/Black canvas is now on order... I want to thank everyone for the input and help. Now if I can just find someone to make a sheath for it ;)
If Only Hmmmmm.........................

Interesting. idk that?
most of my Kin knife handles always felt dinky to me..... forcing me to thicken them up with tubing, and tape.
I just assumed all these knife makers had hands like a 12 old girl??? lol

I have a D-Guard Battle Mistress that I really like but the handle feels a bit small. I'm thinking about adding spacers under the scales.

It's possible that we should have an entire thread for handle comfort. I have medium/large hands. large for most of the world.. but modest paws compared to David.

The TG handle is really great. I've noticed I gravitate to magnum style scales with the palm swell. TG/SFNO/NMFSH

Don't have a HR2 but it looks a bit like the Tankbuster handle which is nice but, as pointed out, is a bit blocky which is felt when chopping.

Good choice, I went with almost the same thing. I have massive almost perfectly square palms and the TGULB fits my hand quite well. I wish the handle was a slight but thicker. It’s funny that you mention 1911. My hand also covers the entire length of the grip with some extra palm meat overhanging it. It’s still the best feeling firearm i have with the Sig P220 Match Elite being a very close second.

Dude, have ya tried NanoFusion models?

I wear a Large glove, but I don't have ham hands <I probably have the world's smallest Large hands, haha o_O> and I find the ergos of those models almost ideal <the EU series being what I consider "ideal" for me>...

Jerry Busse Jerry Busse , would you consider expanding this line? A NanoMistress would be the cat's pajamas!
