Well, it seems that my children have brought me a wonderful gift. Its a special gift that gives in multiple layers. High fever, chills, howling skitters, and other wonderful and endearing things.

And, a gift this special, need not be kept alone, as it would seem they gave it to the maternus familiarus as well. So, everyone in my house has the flu and little one got a side of strep throat as well.

Those that have orders in with me, please be patient, as I am currently spending my time between caring for my family, and hitting the crapper. Sheaths will be going out friday, at the latest. I plan on sterilizing the things with Lysol before I put them in the box, I promise.

Rock on Beckerheads, at least I still have the energy to post.LOL

just gettin over it. fever of at least 104 for 5 days straight with some good old cold symptoms.
 
Moose, I'm suffering right along with you and yorn. Been on the sofa for the past three days with some kinda upper respiratory/bronchial crap. Hope your troop kicks it soon!!:thumbup:
 
I hope you feel better.For sore throat i gargle with 1/2 tspn cayanne pepper
in cup of warm every 15 mins after a couple hrs of that i do it every hour.
It knocks it out in a couple hours.
 
rabii - I missed 3 1/2 days of work last week to that bronchitis crap -- you have my sympathy!
moose - I had the flu a coupe of years ago and it;'s no fun either! -- even after i got over it I was pretty punky for about 3 more weeks before i had my energy back.

This too shall pass. I know everyone has a remedy, but ... vitamins. Serious.
Stress Tabs with zinc. Fix you up quick in a hurry. Wouldn't lie.

I haven't been sick in ... can't remember.

Anyway - Spring is 30 - 40 days away (at least around here) Something to look forward to in the depths of Winter.

Hey Moose, get better. I won't give any medical advice - plenty of good tips here already. And don't worry about my sheath - you can put it on the back burner if needed (the one without the firesteel loop for a BK2). The way things are going with me couldn't use it until weekend after next anyway.

i hope you get some pedialyte for hydration, and some "make it stop" pepto or other stuff to avoid dehydration/dysentery type effects.

some mention spices above. garling with salt water and drink some rum with cayenne helps the breathing and sore throat.

probably not going to keep stuff down, so sipping sweet tea works. lots of lemon and *some* booze doesn't hurt. homemade nyquil.

Thanks guys, me and the wife are taking turns doing our responsibilities for the girls and resting.

I take vitamins and stuff daily, so do all of us, but sometimes, ya just get sick.

I'll be around.

I'm drinking apple cider and moonshine right now, bed soon, and some rest. Still working though, is the crappy part. For some reason, my company doesn't believe in sickness. I have sick time, but with 2 kids, I try to conserve it as much as possible, so I can be there when they need me. Oh well, Dayquil, caffeine, and OTC pain meds should keep me running for a while.

Not fun, my little family all got the flu right after new years. It was the "24 hour" stomach flu and for me it lasted about 4 days.

Give theraflu a try it if gets really bad. Immodium really helps with the diarrhea if you have that problem.
