If it is an authentic Thai Enep they don't cost hardly anything for materials just spring steel and basic plywood. They just bang them out and put basic edges on them. For what they are they're definitely cool but I would never pay full price for one costing in the states. I had a buddy of mine grab me one in Thailand and it cost him a whole total of 4 American dollars.

In Thailand, there were many grades of Enep started from $4-$100 or more dependes on the materials and manufaturer. Some cheap one at tourists attractions are just for the souvenir and some for the local uses made from leaf spring which is easy to rust. But the one that I made sold at $32 here. I have tried several steels to make this. Some was broken during the hardening process. Some are too soft . When cutting a nail, it chipped off the blade. The most expesive cost that mark up the price is shipping cost around $15. Other than that is my profit. Hope this clarify
