Hi all!
I had earlier this week a situation after which I really thanked that I carried Spyderco Caly3 (or any other one hand opening knife)
I had to stack alone few ancient 19" unused CRT monitors in cardboard boxes each weighting over 25 kilo's with boxes in.
The last box got stuck from those nasty plastic things some companies use to seal their boxes. Now I was awkward position and if I would back down I would bring down entire box and content on me and ly meft hand was stuck holding the box. Luckily I had my Spyderco Caly3 in Watch pocket (my dedicated pocket for one hand opening knives) so I managed grap it with my right hand and open my Spyderco Caly 3. With that I managed to cut that plastic cord that got stuck and shelf the box.
Not exactly a life and death situation but still situation that made me realize how luckiy it was that I was carrying besides my CV stockman in left pocket with cellphone, also Spydercy Caly in watch pocket.
There really are situations where one hand opening knife can really save the day. My spyderco caly saved my foot from crushing (I am not that quick after 6 knee surgeries that I once was) and me to pay that CRT monitor. One of my best investments ever. With this, it already has paid itself back.
