Thanks for the awesome sheath brother!

It arrived today and I've been waring it around the house! Its very comfortable and the dangler makes it ride at the perfect height. The retention is amazing!

I look forward to taking it out in the woods and using that firesteel!

Nice rig! With it being a dangler, do you have to push the sheath down with your thumb so the leather doesn't bend when drawing the knife? Sorry if that is a stupid question, I've never used a sheath like that.

Be careful wearing it on your bathrobe.;)

Gorgeous! This is exactly the same set up I want for my BK-16. Maybe instead of the Kydex storage box around the sheath, a leather one. I love the dangler, the Kydex sheath, and everything about it. I think I'm definitely choosing JD for my new sheath.

You don't need to bend the leather, but in order to release the knife (because of the retention) you do have to use your thumb to press lightly on the top. I have turned the sheath upside down and shook it really hard and the knife doesn't budge. With a little bit of thumb pressure (100x less then the stock sheath) it will come free.

Actually, pressing your thumb on the top of the kydex is what I meant. I was asking if you needed to do this to prevent the leather from bending if you just grabbed the handle of the knife and pulled up. Anyway, that answered my question so thanks.

All good :) full disclosure, I was sufficiently tanked when I responded, I'm surprised I could even type haha
