I don't post very often, but I read this forum a lot. I've learned so much and enjoy the photos, which are also instructive. As a long time dabbler of a collector, this forum is an invaluable resource.

Thanks for inadvertently teaching an old dog some new things. :)

Nice...but my guess is, like you and me, for many of us this community has helped our fund of knowledge and in many cases forged new friendships.
 
Dean - Great post. :thumbup: I see you've been a member since 2000. I'm sure you've seen and learned a lot in that time. I post a lot, maybe too much, but if you've learned anything from my posts, it would have almost certainly been 'inadvertently' as I learn far more than I contribute. ;) That said, this forum is a very symbiotic environment with some of the finest folk from all over the globe gladly sharing their knowledge and passion. I suspect that the photos posted here have a tremendous impact on the overall commerce of the traditional cutlery market. I know they've caused me to spend far more on knives than I would have if I'd never stumbled across this forum. :) More importantly though, I've made some really good friends, and I enjoy seeing what they're carrying and reading what they're up to on an almost daily basis since joining. So if it's okay, I'll join you in thanking all the members here for making this such a wonderful place to hang out and learn.

Well said and concur. :) (especially agree that I post too much and spend too much :D)
 
The Forum has certainly helped my fund of knowledge. My fund of cash, on the other hand....? :D

One of the dangers of coming here: First you see it, then you read about, then you think about it, then you buy it, rest awhile, begin again!
