thank you, Boker! (vg10 Kwaiken flipper)

Is the VG-10 version unlimited? 'cus it's sold out and the CF version is also sold out.

Just my 2 cents, but you kind of defeat the purpose (being a lightweight ) of using titanium when you put it on a steel frame. Case in point - the VG-10 Kwaiken weighs a hefty 5 1/2 oz.

That's actually true of all the Boker Kwaikens with the thick stainless steel liners adding unnecessary weight. However, it feels really good in the hand and because it has such a slim profile it occupies very little pocket space.

Both the AUS-8 and VG-10 titanium flippers weigh the same 5.40 ounces. Closer to 4 ounces would be great.

I like the heft but i am interested in the cf version.

Also i want to second the op and thank boker for listening to feedback.

I have very few Bokers. Mid-priced knives with AUS-8 blades are not going to get much of my business. But if the kwaiken flipper is made in VG10 and carbon fiber, I will get one.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Ti scales over steel liners either. Though I could probably live with CF over steel. Neutral balance on a knife is a very big plus for me.

For the regular Boker Kwaiken Ti flipper, it looks like BladeHQ will only carry the VG-10 one and no AUS-8.

RamZar,

We were told by Boker that they are discontinuing the AUS-8 version of the Ti Flipper and there will only be VG-10 going forward.

What about the upcoming BladeHQ exclusive Boker Kwaiken flipper with CF (01BO299)?

Good question. I think the CF Kwaiken was already in production before they switched to VG-10, so I don't think it will have it.

For those that didn't like the weight of the titanium version, the CF prototype I have weighs in at 4.43 oz, about 1 ounce less.
