After sending in my old Buck 444 (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/870205-My-Old-Buck-444....Can-Buck-Save-It) Buck sent me this BuckLite. I like it a lot. It came razor sharp, and carried great in the pocket. Again, thank you very much for the replacement. Lets see if this will serve me another 15+ years.

Congrats, Buck has always been the best when it comes to warranty.
This is no exception, beautiful new knife, looks like a great user.

That's awesome that they took care of you like that. I think you're really going to like your replacement Bucklite MAX.

The Bucklite MAX folders were my introduction to the knife world (mine was the large 486). They're ridiculously light for their size and I love the handle contours, deep carry pocket clip, and blade shape. I even love the FRN; I accidentally dropped mine on rough concrete and the FRN didn't show even a scratch. On the other hand, the thumbstud and pivot pin were loose afterwards...I was an idiot at the time and tried to tighten everything back up with a hammer . That didn't work out so well...now I still have a loose thumbstud and pivot pin but they're also dinged up from my hammer. The knife is still sitting in my drawer...seeing this thread makes me wonder if I could send it in for repair at my cost.

Its always tough when we have to find a comparable replacement for a knife we no longer make. I really like the whole Bucklite Max series because they are perfect for so many other modles that are not in the line anymore.
Gun, send yours in, to my attention, and we will take care of it for you. :)
