I have wanted a more weathered look to my 2 after experimenting with some patinas and not being totally satisfied. Finally got the nerve to try the blue/bleach etch yesterday after stumbling across a great tutorial posted by Clich: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/910891-the-becker-etch-how-to-NEW-TECHNIQUE-AND-PICS-POST-25
A few takeaways are to follow his advise about using painters tape to spare parts you dont want etched (it was rough re-sharpening without a belt sander) and that its going to take some more experimenting with the cold blue pattern to get the finish I want. Also should have done a more thorough job sanding so the finish blue coat wasn't as dark.
Without further ado, the fruits of my labor...
