I finally made the drive down to meet CF in person and get the knife I won in one of his contests. I love the BK9 and have been thinking for a while it would be neat to have a knife that is kind of a mini BK9 that I can legally conceal for edc. So that's what I asked him to make and he did a great job. This is my first custom knife and I am really enjoying it.

I got to fondle a RBK for the first time then a bunch of his awesome knives and swords he made. I could have spent all afternoon doing that but CF invited me to do something I have always wanted to do..Make my own knife! I was expecting to start with something small but I like BIG knives and he encouraged me to go big..so I did! 15 inches of 1/4 1095.

The afternoon flew by and before I knew it, it was time for me to go. Time fly's when your having fun. I cant wait to go back!!

Here are a few pics of the knife CF made me and the beginning of my knife.

Thank you CF! It was great to meet you!:)

Was great to actually meet another Beckerhead in person as well. Made me feel better about missing the Gathering. That reealllly needs to happen.

I've always been a believer in go-big or go-home. Mauser picks stuff up really well too. I like what you've got sketched on there for changes. Looks like it should be a good blade.
