I posted this on the General Forum but wanted to do it here also.
I have one of the very first Mad Maxes. It had a couple of problems that warranted sending it back to Darrel. After quickly answering my e-mail, he said to send it back but warned me he might not be able to look at it for a few weeks. Well, I got it back in a reasonable amount of time, (considering how busy he is), and everything was corrected just fine. Thank you Darrel for your great service and this wonderful knife is back where it should be, in my pocket!

Can't agree more about the service, I just got my Apogee back from refurbish, and it looks like a new knife.
Not only did I get the knife back quickly, the price was a great bargain too.

Great service like this is getting so hard to find.

I have sent several knives back to the Makers for Refurbish and Darrell was the Fastest Turnaround and did the Best Job of returning the knife to New condition.

Darrel is better than just good - he is "DA MAN!!!!!" When there was a blade alignment problem with my Extreme Apogee he didn't just fix it - he made me a new & BETTER knife with improvements plus it was back in my hands within a week even though I wasn't worried about time. There are no better people to deal with than Darrel (many others are equally good though!) - he sets a very high standard.

I have a small left hand Apogee and I must say that I like it very much. Darrel certainly makes a fine product and supports his customers well. He also answers his e-mails promptly. If I win the lottery I will buy many more of his knives!

I also should have added that the original edge wasn't quite up to snuff. Darrel resharpened it and this thing is a razor now. I love the bowie style blade on my Max and the tip is now so menacing that inanimate objects jump out of the way when I open it!
