I got an email last week from dcycleman. He mentioned noticing that I was looking for a Bushcrafter and sent a picture of the exact Bushcrafter I was hoping for. It's 5/32 tapered O-1, OD scales with orange liners, and my favorite grind height of all. It's perfect and it fits my hand perfectly.

Thanks D! I'm really glad you wrote when you did! I really hope you're happy with the trade, I couldn't be any happier. It' wet and rainy here today, but tomorrow I'll have it out in the woods for sure :D

And for the record, it didn't exactly come dull :)

D is a good guy; glad this worked out for the both of you! Have fun putting it through its paces!

Glad you scored one Mr Mist. The article will be great, I'm sure.

Btw, my first Bushfinger had that same handle combo. It's my favorite I think. :)

He is a good guy, did me a huge favor! I hope he is happy with the trade. He hasn't gotten it yet, he emailed me earlier from the woods and sent a pic of his bushcooker (emberlit I think) and his Hiking Buddy, nice little fire in the snow. I will definitely have fun with it!

Thanks man, I sure hope so. I really try to do them well :) I'm liking these colors together a lot more than I once thought I would :o I have never been a big fan of orange, but with it being the liner it gives it the color to spot easily without hurting my eyes :)

Yep, that looks like it'll do the job.

Yep, sure feels like it to :D

Thanks mist, thanks Will. I just got back from the woods and the recluse was waiting for me- sweet! Yup definitely stoked about the trade. This is the one that's going with me when I go sea kayaking. I even had a KSF sheath from a bark river that fits the recluse like it was made for it. Looking forward to your future pics of the bushcrafter Mist!

Awesome man, that knife always made me think of the sea when I looked at it. Oh, you'll see more soon enough :)

Pics? :D

Thanks mist. Yeah that's my emberlit that I've been using a bunch thanks to Kepha. I'll try to get some pics of the recluse up when I get it outdoors

Needs pants.... it is a naked I tell you....

TF

Well yeah, naked in these pics, but it's not naked now on my belt :) It's not in anything worth writing home about...or anything I'd want to show in public on a knife forum for that matter, but it's on my belt none the less and THAT'S the important part :D

One day, and I know I have been saying this for what seems like years now (maybe it has been years?), your timing and the the timing of my financial high-tide are going to line up just right and I am going to have one of your sheaths. You do beautiful work man.

Yeah, I guess he probably wanted a pic of the knife, I was just being cheeky :) Is that the Ti emberlit? How are you liking it?

Yup, that's the Ti version. I like it a lot. It folds up completely flat and it's really light so it can stay in the daypack all the time. It fires right up with a bit of birchbark and some small sticks. I throw in a Baggie with a few vaseline covered cotton balls with just in case. I would rather use that than my msr.

Sounds great. I need to pick one up. I hate that I missed out on the group buy, that really sucked. But this winter has put me in a position of choosing between priorities...

Thanks man, I really appreciate that! I just need to recover from the crazy expenses of this crazy winter first :)

I'll be interested too. I was out camping earlier this week and cursing how I missed that group buy. It really would have been perfect for what I needed.
