A few months ago I made a comment about a "Ferrari Red" smooth red bone Boker 1988 Classic that he had posted. It made me think of one of the dream sport cars that I'd never have the opportunity to own or even take for a spin around the block. Doug, out of the blue, send me a pm asking for my address to send this red beauty my way.

Living in Mexico most of the time, it would be several months until I got to pickup the package at the border in Texas. On the 8th of May, I finally got this little red gem in my hand. Thank you, Doug for your generosity. One just never knows what might happen here in this unusual sub-forum! A great place to hang out and relax.

Very nice!
Great gesture Doug:thumbup:

I love hanging out here on the porch! Great folks abound!

yaayyy!!! That's a sweet knife; it reminds me a lot of the mini copperhead I'm so crazy about. Doug, that's a remarkable gesture. What's even more remarkable is that it happens here all the time; it is not a rarity. However, the folks in this forum are, by and large, the most generous, thoughtful bunch I've been associated with in a very long time. It has affected me in a positive way.

I bought it, in part, to serve as a replacement for the two mini-copperheads I had sold. It really is a great size knife for easy carry, yet has a nice clip blade length.

Glad you are happy with it jakemex!

Great act, Doug! :)

Congratz to you, Jake! I´m sure, you´ll like that nice knife.

It's unique to me in that its blades are not crinked but ground to not touch each other and to not touch the liners. The bone is superb. At 3 and 1/16" long and the main blade at 2 and 1/4" long and 13/32" wide, it's a good TSA legal size too. (Not that I plan to fly anywhere, any way, if I don't have to) I still can't get over the shade of red of the bone. Wow
