I received my knife from Doug today, and may I say. WOW. He's a mind reader. I got EXACTLY what I wanted. Thanks Doug, I'm speachless. And because I'm speachless I'll let some pictures talk for me. How did you know I liked peanuts?




 
Dang...know I know why Doug was posting so many pictures of the Appaloosa.

WHOA???!!! What have I missed here? Was there a transference of this amazing little knife? I think a more robust account of what happened is in order. :D

Oh yea. Forgot to mention that. This was the knife I won in his recent GAW. He said for me to pick one from his collection. And I told him to surprise me.

Indeed everyone. It was EXTREMELY generous of Doug. I wasn't expecting anything like this.
She wasn't as sharp as I like when I got her, but I like that Doug left it, because I'm practicing freehand sharpening. I got her nice and hair shaving sharp.

And I can't wait to put some of my own patina on it.
 
Glad you are happy with it Mark. I should have done this a few weeks ago before I started using it to slice fruit, then the entire patina would be yours.
