Hello all,
I just got off the phone with Duane a little while ago. He had called me back after I left a message inquiring about a Sterile SEAL 2001. I explained to him that I had recently lost my BT during a police action incident, and that I had previously sold my backup to another forumite who had wanted one badly. I was looking to order a seal for a bigger is better replacement. Without even allowing me to finish my sentence, this great guy quoted me an unbelieveablely low price and turnaround time and said HE was sorry that i lost my knife and wanted to do what he could to help me replace my tool.
We have all left glowing remarks and unbelievable tales of the STRIDER guys generousity from time to time. But this was above and beyond any treatment i expected. He was even going to stay up tonite to finish grinding it so that i could get it ASAP.
I am posting this not to try to convince anyone to buy STRIDER or anything stupid like that. I am so honestly impressed with their dedication and willingness to help, even a small city cop, when I am sure they have a million other things to do, that I feel they deserve an honest thanks from those of us that actually USE their tools.
There are many ways to show your character through your actions. Thank you Duane, I used to be a STRIDER guy for life because of your tools reputation. I now have another reason, the ROCK solid reputation of the men that build those tools. I look forward to shaking all your hands at the NYC knife show. GUINESS is on me.

I had the privilege to meet both Mick and Duane at the Blade Show West. They were both very willing to answer my many, many questions. I also talked to Duane on the phone for 45 min. today about Strider knives and their general knife making philosophy, (which is very technical.) And Man, let me tell you, I was eatin' it up! That guy has such a wealth of knowledge about knife building! I dig his stories, and I'm stoked for these guys - and all the success they are having. I can't wait to get my next Strider!!! Duane and Mick are both class acts!

figured I would bring this up again now that we straightened out my identity, and you know who I am. See you in NYC.

Panzer....make sure you stop by my table and we'll do the coffee thing again! ;) Good to see you here brother!

Sorry about that, Chris. I would've sold it back to you as you really need it. I just buy stuff that I don't really need so as to piss off my wife. The BT is outstanding, though. Hope to see some of you in NY. I'll be the guy with a few friends and having a good time without my wife. Just kidding - she's the best.

First,
I don't think Andy needs any more coffee!
Second ... to you Panzer and all others wearing a badge in this country, I am fortunate to be in a position to help some of you. For it is you we owe a debt of gratitude for keeping my loved ones safe while I am distant. It is our pleasure to help you and I look forward to seeing you again. Here's a quote to close;

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
President John F. Kennedy

All the best,
Duane Dwyer

In response to my post, if any military or LEO personnel need a Strider BT quickly, you may have mine at no profit to me. I hope that I'm not out of line with the rules of the forum, but my needs aren't nearly as crucial as yours. I saw the Twin Towers burn and I'd really like to see my BT sticking out of the head of a terrorist so I'll do my part to ensure that possibility. And chances are that I won't be recalled to the Marine Corps.
