Folks,
As you may recall several weeks back Euroross held a giveaway for a special knife. I was the fortunate soul to win this gift. I promised Ross I would post some pictures of his gift. I only have a cell phone to take pictures with since my wife has our camera and is out of town visiting her family. Apologies to all for the lousy pictures. Hover your mouse over the picture for a larger version of it.
I'm no expert in these things, but the knife looks like a machete to me. The dimensions are: OAL 25", blade length 20". The only marking on the blade is No. 12/H.
The sheath is richly ornamented, tooled leather with metal accents. It has a loop to allow it to be carried on a belt. This took a craftsman considerable time to make!
I was and still am overwhelmed by Ross' generosity. Please send good thoughts/prayers to Ross' way as he is going through some emotionally tough times right now.
