About a year ago on this forum, I was given a Tops Overlander from a very generous member. Unfortunately my memory isn't great and as such the name of this user escapes me. I do however remember one of the stipulations be that I use the knife well (don't baby it) and return to him with an update. So here's the update and another huge thank you because after a year of use, I love this knife.
Most recently I was on a week long camping trip and I EDCd this knife from belt carry to on the strap of my sling backpack. I really beat on this knife using for just about everything. Cutting, food prep, skinning, hammering, digging, prying, climbing, etc. It took on every task without flinching. Subsequently, I became a believer in smaller fixed blades.
The main reason for this post is out of hope. I hope you'll see this and not think your knife didn't get put to use or was just sold off. Your generosity was greatly appreciated then and still is to this day. I'll continue to use this knife every chance I get and still take good care of her. Thanks again.
