So I'm looking for a Thank you gift my brother.
My older brother is always asking me to use my knife when we are together. So I thought it would be a good idea for him to have is own.
He's a not a knife nut like me.

I have narrowed my pick down to a Spyderco Dragon G-10.
Little knife, workhorse and really like the G-10.

Is there any other knives I should look at?

If you could elaborate a bit on how much you are willing to spend on it and some general information on intended use it might be a lot easier to come up with suggestions :)

I was in the same boat a little awhile ago. Went from buying a Ganzo 'Rift' Clone up to a Spyderco UKPK to Spyderco Cat and moved him up to a Benchmade 707 off the forums. The G-10 dragonfly is a bit costly for what it is and I've found that non knife people do enjoy opening and closing their knives neurotically so I'd suggest an Axis lock mechanism+loctite or perhaps a tri-ad lock from Cold Steel (Cold Steel Tuff Lite, American Lawman, mini recon 1). Aus-8a takes a fine razor edge+easy to sharpen and will be perf for anyone who's not too into knives and won't need a better end steel.

The G10 dfly is a great knife but for its size its quite heavy (its not TOO heavy, but its quite suprising for how small it is). No trying to talk yoi out of it but I second the guy above that said the benchmade 707.

$150 and under, but that's not set in stone. general EDC knife for him. He wears jeans and slacks to work.
He work in professional office and he is upper management. Knife friendly place. Tire Manufacture.

Liking the look of the Benchmade 707. Surprisingly I have never owned a benchmade. I have owned Spyderco, Kershaw, ZT's, Striders and CRK.
I like the fact the 707 is American made. I was looking for Spyderco Native 5 G-10 but there all out of stock.

Thanks everyone for the input, keep it coming.

D'fly G10 is a good choice.

You might also want to consider a Benchmade mini grip

Well, that is still a lot of knives to choose from, but you can never go wron with the "classics".
Benchmade Griptilian
Fits your budget and is as durable and proven Knife.

There are some Spydercos fitting your bill pretty well too, but as I personally do not like them aesthetically I'll leave it to the "Spyderco-Pros" to make recommendations.

I love my mini-grip (and have 2) but they don't come in G10 except for very LE editions and custom's, that's why I said the 707.

If he is not a knife guy, get him 3 Opinels and a set of stones. Would go for the garden No 8, a regular No 8 in a good wood, and a slim No 8 in a good wood.

OT

I think the Dragonfly is a superb, little knife. It fills your hand, even though it's kinda minimalist. VG-10 is among my favorite stainless steel, and it takes a nice edge, with serviceable edge retention. G-10 just feels higher quality, and more substantial than FRN, but I still prefer FRN, I'm weird though, go for the G-10.
