I just received a contego for a great price from symphoyincminor. I was very happy to have a user that I could beat on without hesitation; but when I opened the box, I saw this:

The benchmade with an extra clip, a countycomm soled light, and a maratac pocket screwdriver. This was a much apprecitated suprise!
In keeping with his generosity, I figure it's only fair to pass on the knife that this contego will be replacing.

I have a cold steel recon 1 that has been my main heavy duty folder for the past couple years. I've sanded the black paint off and put a mostly convex edge on it. Has slight vertical play if you wiggle it but this thing is solid and will make a great beater!

I hate to call it my favorite, because so many knives do something better, but none of them do everything as well as my OD Mini Grip. Got it on trade for a Delica, and LOVE IT. It is the most perfect axis lock I have ever seen. Thanks for the chance, and thanks for pushing me to show off my "Nothing really special to anybody but me" baby.
