It's not uncommon on the porch to read threads about gifts received in the mail. Well, here's another one:

Grateful Grateful asked for my address, and said he had a knife for me. Well, the package got here, and it is a box of treasures.

There is a Buck 703 with box & papers. It's a beauty, such a distinctly Buck-styled take on the Stockman pattern.

Not only that, but:
A Kutmaster Barlow, an Old Timer Stockman, a Kutmaster Barlow, a little SAK classic (with ballpoint pen instead of toothpick), a pocket slip, two marbles and two PEZ dispensers; one of them even glows in the dark! :D

I ain't calling you Boo, but I felt like Scout looking at the gifts found in the knothole in the tree. ;) Thank you so much!

Well done Grateful Grateful you sir have a heart of gold.:thumbsup: r8shell r8shell you are definitely a deserving recipient you add a lot here in our little community. :);)
Great stuff to read on a Sunday morning it kind of sets the pace for the coming week.

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

The porch has been reminding me lately of the above verse from Luke. And also of this passage from Aristotle's Rhetoric:

"We may describe friendly feeling towards any one as wishing for him what you believe to be good things, not for your own sake but for his, and being inclined, so far as you can, to bring these things about."

r8shell, I’m glad you enjoyed the little box I sent your way. That it made you think of my favorite book is even better.

Good insight, r8shell; thanks for the visual reminder of an epic book/movie that I haven't read/seen for too long!
