Hello guys! This is Vanguard's son Brandon.
Just yesterday my dad, Vanguard, gave me this Cold War era German military knife. I have been looking for one forever and I finally have one. He told me afterwards that a man from Germany, Humppa on this forum, actually sent it to him to give to me! I was really surprised by this act and I want to personally thank Andi for this knife! Be assured it is in good hands with me.

Here are some pics of me holding it and some other military favorites of mine, a 1917 LF&C trench knife and a Bund Gravity knife from the Cold War era.
I know these aren't the best pictures but hopefully they will suffice. Have a nice day guys!

Brandon - thank you for your kind words and the replie! :)

I´m glad you like the knife. Being honest, I´m really surprised how fast it went until you got the knife.
It was a great pleasure to me, making it possible that a young knife-guy is getting a bigger collection :)

I´m sure, it is in good (even better) hands.

You have already a great collection of old military knife. I have the same german Paratrooper Knife you showed off on the second pic. It was a gift from my dad, as well. Mine is from Germany between 1933 and 1945.

Thanks again for it Andi! I just sharpened it with my dad's sharpmaker and oiled the blade.
I'd love to see your Luftwaffe gravity knife. Maybe sometime you can post pictures.

I know ... I didn´t sharpen the blade and there were some breakouts on the blade. I wanted you to do this job ;)

I gonna PM your dad some pics about the Paratrooper knife, when I have them. Be sure, I gonna take them.

Here are some more pictures. Sorry about the quality again. There is a storm in our area right now. All of the knives have the original scabbards and frogs.

RAF Signal pistol. Probably my favorite piece.

Super generous gesture. Brandon, awesome collection, man. And you have either been taught or learned a very valuable lesson. Thank you notes make all the difference in the world. Thanks for sharing your collection. ;)

I don't have many knives that will fit in your collection (thematically), but if you DM your address, I'll send you something.

If any of you guys are interested in seeing non-knife related Military memorabilia, feel free to ask. I can send you pictures by email. :)

As always, a big thumbup for Andi and his generosity.
Brandon...I think it's time you stopped using your dad's profile, opened your own, and joined us here. There's always some free chair around the porch here... :)

Good idea. I just did. ;)
I probably won't be on as much as him, but I will still be an active member here.

So now we can officially welcome you here :)
It doesn't matter how much time you spend here. The only thing that matters is that you enjoy it.
