Jason,

Thank you so VERY MUCH for this amazing gift!!! I can't believe how nice this bullnose is! I have to say, I loved my orange one but this is even nicer!!! I gave the handles a quick buff just to smooth it out, not removing deep scratches. I decided against any reshaping, it looks perfect for a work knife!! I then hand polished the handle and blade and worked out the areas of red rust. I took a little time to re-profile the edge, its almost there!! Very sharp and its only going to get better. The patina evened out a little which is okay, but man that pattern you had on it looked awesome!!!

This knife is a solid good looking work knife! I have a piece of stag picked out to make a bead for a lanyard. I am still working on the knife and the delrin did shine right up, the dullness is from crud I forgot to wipe off. So many more pictures of this one to come. Its in my pocket at we speak and I will be tinkering with it as it gets used. No blade play, centered blade, just perfect all around!!!

Thanks so much, Jason!

Sorry for the quick cell pic, I wanted to get this posted and could not get to my camera. Proper photos to come :)

Kevin,
I'm really happy that you got this knife, thanks to Jason and his generosity. You surely deserve it, for your contribution to this forum, and for being a friend (at least for me :)).
I know you will take good care of the knife, and use it as it deserves...so enjoy it! (and post pictures, of course...)

p.s.: did you get my email?

Your quick cell pic looks better than most if not all of my pics:thumbup:
Look forward to seeing the edge that you put on this and hearing your impressions of it!

Awesome gesture Jason:thumbup:

Thanks so much guys! I love this thing. Its sharp and I will get it better as time goes on. Lanyard made and on. Already using it. Today is just not my day for pictures. The light is so stormy.

Kevin

Gorgeous knife! I'm astounded by the generosity here. I'll be making my own thread(s) eventually.

Please keep us posted on how the o1 works for you. It sounds like you use your knives.

Also, that's a fantastic looking bead and lanyard. :)

I'm so glad you are enjoying the knife so much! You've made it look almost like new again! I love the bead. As for not being your day for pics, I'd love to see when you are having a good day because they look fantastic!

I am very happy that this knife is going to be put to a lot of good use, and enjoyed by such a great member here at the traditional sub forum!

Could not agree more with your sentiments Jason :) and thanks to you for a great GAW my friend

Yeah, that is a fantastic photo to my eye and you represent that wonderful knife very well.

Kevin, I really like how you put your touch on all your knives. You have really made the handle shine. May I ask what you used to shine it up?

Kudos to you, Jason! A very fine gift indeed.

Thanks again so much guys. Such a great group of friends here.

Gevonovich,

I just used a tripoli compound. That made it glassy and then I used another polish by hand to dull it down a tad :)

Kevin

Superb second photo Rich.

Congratulations again and a big  to Jason for his generosity.

So many more pictures of this one to come.

Kevin

So, where are all the pictures to come Kevin? Have you thought about installing one of GEC's bails on your knife and then attaching your lanyard to it? That's what I've done to mine - installed a GEC bail. Mine is the Farm & Field (F&F) version.

Sometimes I'll put a lanyard on it such as this but not often. I prefer just the plain bail.

So, let's get busy Kevin and fix that knife up and post some more pictures of it.

I have just been too busy, ED! But thanks for the little push. I just snapped this off for you

I really like that bail but I like the way I have mine on there :)

Thanks for the idea anyhow!

Kevin

Oh, don't get me wrong. Your lanyard looks just fine. I just thought I'd plant the GEC Bail in your mind.

By the way - It doesn't look like you'll be getting much work done on the homestead what with the basketball hoop over the barn door.
