Spectre and I from the HI forum had the privilege of meeting and talking with Jerry Busse and thatMguy yesterday at the Busse table at Blade. We also got to see the Uncle Bill and Rusty raffle knives that Jerry made to raffle off in support of their families. I just wanted to say thank you once again from all of us for such a generous and kindhearted donation in the wake of our moderators' passing. The knives are beautiful and unique, the convex grinds are an especially nice touch. Jerry, it was a pleasure to meet you finally, I've been a fan of your knives since I was about 15 years old. You guys had one of the nicest booths at the show, I can't wait to see it again next year. Thanks again and take care.

As someone in love with the steel that comes out of both Busse Combat and Himalayan Imports I have to say that I am glad that there is a bridge between the two.

Otherwise it'd be a long swim.

Tippin' my cup to all of you!

Jerry, thanks again for helping out Uncle Bill and Rusty's familys. :D Those are definalty some fitting knives. :)

Jerry Busse is extremely generous.
Bill Martino always spoke highly of him and the Busse forum. Historically, Himalayan Imports and Busse forums have always held each in the highest regard. We never had the rivalery and even anger some knife proponents have for one another.

We were all saddened by the loss of Uncle Bill and our friend Rusty. A Busse blade for that occasion is a wonderful signature to a lasting friendship.

Thanks, Jerry.

Sometimes artists in whatever medium can be prima donnas. It was great to meet a great artist who's also just a great guy, and we all appreciate the generous spirit shown.

Best Regards,

John Shirley

PS- sorry I knocked your display thingies down. :D

I have had a Busse knife on my wish list for quite a while. Their construction is superb. Unfortunately I entered the HI site 18 months ago and can't get out! and all my disposable income has gone in that direction. One of these days my paycheck and a visit to this forum will coincide and I'll snag one.

Thanks from a dedicated HI forumite for this wonderful effort on behalf of our friends Uncle Bill and Rusty and their families.

Best Regards,

Norm

Yes, thanks Jerry and everyone at Busse. I checked the knives out as well and they are beautiful. It was nice to see the HI t-shirts displayed there as well, which may have prompted some of the unfamiliar to ask more questions and learn about Uncle Bill and Rusty.

Thanks again,

Bamboo

Hahahaha! :D

It's a pity I couldn't make it to the show and see these knives in person, but from the pictures posted they look like amazing ones! :)

Thank you, Mr. Busse.

Your behavior and appreciation of Bill Martino speaks volumes about the person you are.

Be well and safe.

These were great knives, and my next knife will be a Swamp Rat or Busse.

John
