Today I received my DAM Skyline back from KAI along with the Chive they included as compensation for not having a replacement blade. Here is the original thread:

The customer service rep (I think it was Crystal) was polite and apologetic about the problem. She presented me with several options including replacing the Skyline with any available Damascus models. When it became clear there were no others I opted to have my knife returned and accepted the offer for the Chive. Not a bad outcome at all. Now that I have the Skyline back I'm quite happy to see it again. It flips super smooth and is very sharp. The Chive is really cool too. It has a shiny black coating on the blade that matches the handle. It looks really slick. I was expecting the flat black coating like on the ZT0400 I have here. The cool little tin it came in will make a nice "survival" kit. Also included we're some sweet ZT/Kershaw stickers.
Again, thank you Kershaw, I really appreciate the effort made to fix my problem. I will continue to carry and use the knives for many years to come.
