Today I received a 68 clip blade Pony Jack from KYenglish, a thank you gift which just blows my mind! I know these kinds of things happen around here all the time, but being the recipient of these things can be very touching...somehow I think that this little big knife may become a favorite GEC of mine. Little big knife is kind of funny, because a little and a big knife conspired to make this gift happen...
Quite a while back I had obtained a White Owl in buffalo horn from a member, and traded it to another forum member after a spell for a #23...little knife for a BIG knife
Much time elapsed, and I spied it...that little streak of red in a White Owl cover, and I contacted Peter asking about the knife...and he likes it a lot! Which actually made me happy...so then I let him know the knifes brief history as far as I could tell it, and let him know that I had the proper tube for it, which had been previously misplaced...and sent the tube along it's merry way to be reunited with the knife.
Peter then decided to just ship this Pony Jack to me!

You know how it is when you first handle a knife that strikes you and you say to yourself, wow! This Jack is one of those knifes for me! It feels more robust and comfortable in my hand than the single spring variant( little big knife ) and of course ebony, I really do have a thing for ebony handled knives...this one is bound to be showing up in some pics around here...

sorry for the long ramble...

Thank You very much Peter! :D

That's the same knife that has been in my pocket since I got it. You, sir, are a lucky fellow to have such friends. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am loving mine. Great looking ebony there. Your blade is too bright, though. Better cut up some apples. Or better yet, limes for gin and tonic. It's how all my knives end up with patina--

Always a pleasure to read these type of threads. Amazing that we get to do just that so very often around here!

Congrats to you both, for a gift given and received.

Very cool!!

That is a great knife, and I happen to know that both you and Peter are great people -

Thanks for the great post - made me feel better this afternoon.

best

You've checked your pockets recently, yes? ;)

Sitflyer, what a great surprise! (Like I need to tell you that?) KYenglish, a top-shelf maneuver through and through.

wow, seeing you name on the thread list is weird.

I treasure this tube just as much as any knife, it's got story to it! :)

Besides I'd never have seen a proper picture of that knife if I'd kept it around :p

Thanks Duane,

I know from past experience that Peter and Duane are both great guys, very generous, and both were very helpful with my granddaughter, Hanna. I`m very happy to have them both as friends.

Me too. I owe Peter big time right now for giving me what has become my all-time favorite pocket knife. He will be re-payed for his generosity, that you can take to the bank.

Great stuff guys, and that's a lovely knife :)
