I thought I'd consolidate my "thank you's" to these fine members in one thread. The generosity that we see in this forum is amazing and I never tire of reading about it
We simply want to gift unto others. If someone loses a pocketknife or partakes in a good smoke or collects other items that have a tie to our already existing passion of traditional knives, members on this forum pour forth a generosity that truly isn't seen much in today's world. The nightly news very seldom HIGHLIGHTS stories of good tidings because unfortunately they don't have the appeal that producers deem "newsworthy". Not always the case but most of the time.
I guess that's why I enjoy this forum so much---simply put, this forum is a good place to be
Mike Berkovitch "Thank you Mike" for your generosity when you learned of my interest to collect worldwide currency. I rec'd a PM from Mike asking for my address and that he'd like to mail me some coins from his part of the world---shortly thereafter I rec'd these great coins in all shapes, sizes and denominations. Now this was several months ago and why this is so late is because they were accidentally packed up and moved to storage. I recently found them again and wanted to express my thanks to Mike.
Charlie Campagna "Thank you Charlie" for your generosity as well!!! In a thread of Charlies "Empire Winstead CT" where featured and I casually posted a picture of the only one I had and why I bought it. We owned a family furniture store for over 40 years and it was called "Empire Home Furnishings" So naturally anything "Empire" is on my radar, combine that with pocket knives and I go weak in the knees
Well not long after this great "Empire Winstead CT" Barlow appeared in my mailbox!!! SOLID with great Walk & talk, centered blade with ZERO play period, what a testament to fine knife making  and gorgeous ebony covers and check out the bolsters
Jack Black Last but certainly not least!!! "Thank you Jack" this is the second time Jack has gifted me items I treasure. I rec'd coins from Jack before, approx the same time I rec'd coins from Duncan and Mike. Now Jack comes across an old "Reichsbanknote" from 1923, of course I had to comment on it as it was in one of his pictures as a background. My currency radar went off and shortly after I commented Jack PM's me asking to send the great "Reichsbanknote" my way.
Not only does the note arrive, it comes with company!!! A great "Russian" hat/lapel pin which now is attached to my "Bomber" hat  also included is a 1822 year knife postcard detailing this great Sheffield work of art knife that contains 1822 blades!!!
In our conversations Jack learns of my WWII fascination so he also mails a great WWII "National Registration" Identity Card, a WWII "War-Time" Cookery booklet and a terrific Commando comic about the English Resistance. AWESTRUCK is the best I can sum up my emotions that stem from receiving these great gifts from the fine people listed above.
I'm blown away from the pure generosity people show here!!!
Thank you guys!!! Sincerely, these are items I will treasure forever
