As many of you may know, I recently won Mike's "tax time" giveaway. I can't thank Mike and collectorknives.net enough. There's a reason that Mike's store is the first place I go if I'm looking for a knew knife. His customer service is the best in the business, he ships with lightning speed and always seems to have the best stock. Most of all though he's a well respected and knowledgeable member of this community that I consider a little home away from home. The quality of people here is evident on a daily basis and I think Mike exemplifies what this sub forum is all about. I'm very grateful to be a recipient of the abundant generosity.
So on to the knife! It's a pretty gloomy day today so I will try and update with nicer photos when the sun comes out. First off I seem to be on an Ebony kick so the covers were an easy choice, and they don't fail to impress on this knife. This is my first stockman type knife and I'm really liking the blade selection, I've been searching for a 3 blade knife for whittling and this just may fit the bill!
When I first started to buy GEC knives I reached high and only went for Northfield examples. All those knives have since been passed on. I've really come to appreciate the unadorned bolsters and sleek look of the tidioute knives, they just feel more traditional somehow. This Calf roper is fantastic, I'll be putting an aggressive convex edge on the blades and be whittling in no time!
Thanks again Mike and everyone here for making this my favorite place on the internet.

I only opened all the blades for a second...
