I'm not going to lie....I was falling out of love with the BK2. I couldn't find a config I was totally happy with, and I LOVE my '9. The BK2 just wasn't getting as much use anymore.

Then I got a package in the mail with some SWEET wood scales. They COMPLETELY change to look and feel of the knife. Suddenly, I see promise in the BK2 again.

I was about to pull the trigger on a new Imacasa machete, but I think I'll hold off on that and run out to the knife store after work tommorrow and have them bead blast the rest of that horrible black finish off the BK2, and scotch brite it up. Then, with those new grips this BK2 will be a whole new animal.

It would look perfect in a Hedgehog Letherworks sheath, but there's no way I'm going to drop $250 on a sheath when $25 more would get me a BHK PLSK-1 (my current grail knife). Maybe I can find another leather sheath setup for a more reasonable price...

Anyway, the BK2 is back. I'll save the pics for when the knife is finished, so by the end of the week. Thanks again to Oregon Fal'er! I didn't even expect to win that giveaway, and getting those scales had a result that waaaay exceeded my expectations.

He's definitely a talented dude, the micarta scales he made that I won are awesome! Congrats! Pics when ya strip it!

Glad you like em' man. I know what you mean about the BK 2 , I like it and I'll always have one or two around but I don't like it as much as the BK 10 or the BK 7.
I also have a grail knife, the BHK ScaatyCrafter, its gonna be $300 bucks to do it the way I want it.
