All I can say is Thank you both very much. The smooth Calico bone is superb .The blades perfect and razorsharp. Now as for the coping blade they were never on my list of "must haves" but that's all changed now.I'm diggin it. I started this spikketroll last night after dinner -I won't be giving up my day job
:)
love it Thanks Paul.

Wow that's awesome. I love the coping as a secondary. In fact it's my favorite secondary blade and I wish it was more commonly used in folders.

My 92 Eureka Jack is one of my favorites.

Nice spiktrollet, and better than mine. I wimp out on carving the face an draw it in with a sharpie lol.

Nice Eureka Jack too.

Goodness that was fast! I honestly didn't expect it to get to you for another week! I'm glad you like it Meako. I used it hard when I first got it and I know it has a few bumps and scraps and you might even find fish scales in amongst the liners somewhere but I'm glad it has a good home :)

Great-looking knife  Congratulations again Meako

I've got my own piece of PMEW generosity in my pocket today :)

Fish scales says he:rolleyes: Its cleaner than Kojaks hairbrush.Maybe the postie cleaned it;) I should ask him for tips on sharpening too -this thing is sharp!
But I'm dying to know what it was you didn't fancy about this knife.
The smooth calico bone is pure class but not flash. They definitely captured the olden days with it.
I'm naming that spikketrollet Marty Feldman.
Thats a great looking canoe Jack.I've a mountain man with amber bone and D2.
cheers.

Great gesture in the GAW and good to see you're enjoying the knife meako. Love those coping blades.

Congrats meako on winning this fine knife! LOVING the bone. I too am very fond of the 92 and find it in my pocket pretty often. It's one of my top 3 everyday carries. Enjoy it!

Peter

Congrats, Meako!! Thanks for sharing that fine knife! Kudos to Paul for such a fine GAW. Must have been hard to let go of such a knife. Super gesture!!

.....But I'm dying to know what it was you didn't fancy about this knife.....

I don't know, when I think back to the last three really nice pocket knives I have struggled to get on with (the Eureka, Charlie's Radio Jack, and a Queen Canoe) it occurs to me that they all have spear mains. Aside from the occasional SAK, I never seem to carry anything with a spear main.

Subconscious prejudice for some reason?

I do not know. ;)

I think I understand about the spear point-I've got a ebony 72 with a massive spearpoint -almost ungainly looking. On the other hand it will virtually never wear out:D

Very nice! What an excellent knife to receive, and what a killer gift to give!!

Side note...
Meako, I didn't know you had an amber bone MM... how do you like it? Love mine; it's probably my most-carried & most-used knife, out of the bunch. Great tool.
