Let me start by saying Buck is by far my favorite knife company and this forum is where I spend a great deal of my time on this site. I love simple, natural materials on my knives, and I like good hearted, natural people in my life. Which makes this forum even better since a lot of our regulars are really good folks with good stories and great knives.
I'm not sure if you guys remember or even noticed, but I've mentioned that my knife purchasing budget is no longer existent. I'm going through some martial issues and I've been concentrating everything I have into making sure my kids are going to be ok. My daughter is 7 and my son is 4, so setting them up, along with myself, has been quite a project. I'm sure others have been in the same boat and can relate unfortunately. That being said, I mentioned the other day that I have to save my pennies for a brown micatra 110 slim....well, enter Scott K to the situation. Scott asked for my mailing address and a couple days later, something showed up. Whether Scott paid attention or not, his act of generosity really means a lot, especially now. We never know what another person is going through in life and what a simple gesture of kindness can do. This isn't about the knife itself, it's about the fact that a complete stranger took their own time and money to do something so kind for a guy they never met. The knife is great, but the random act of kindness really means the world to me.
