I received a PM from Crazy Canuck (Mike) about ten days ago. He reported to me that he believed my name was the wrong color and that he had paid for a Platinum upgrade membership for me. I did not know that it was even possible to gift a membership upgrade to anyone. I told him that I had been considering an upgrade for more than a few reasons and that I really appreciated it. It took about ten days for the manual upgrade to be effective, but, I am really liking the new clothes and benefits of the Platinum upgrade, as well as the thought of supporting the site. I intend to carry on with the Platinum membership after the yearly subscription ends.

During the same time frame, some of you are aware that Clutchcarter (Mark) made a great effort to obtain the John Primble Graphics for my old Primble display. He did this at his own expense and ignored my attempts to pay for the work, time, etc. I know that he spent a considerable amount of time obtaining that for me and during the same week that his daughter was getting married.

I am so very grateful for the extreme generosity of these two men, as well as others here who have also been so generous and kind to me!

I tip my hat to you gentlemen and salute you all for your kindness. :thumbup::)

You have given a lot to this forum in a short amount of time Primble and we here are grateful. Looks great in platinum, well done Mike :thumbup: I caught a pic of the new/old graphics. It looks outstanding. A :thumbup: to you as well Mark.

Thank you everyone and Barry thank you for reminding me of something, just by your presence. You see, when I posted this thread and left to go out to dinner, I kept thinking that I had left something out, some how.

I guess what was in my pocket should have been burning a hole through my pants, but, it took me seeing your name to think - Ohhh !!! :eek::o:o

Now I know I have thanked you personally and over in the Barlow thread, but, not so fast friend. :D

I also want to thank Barry (Gunstock Jack) for this beautiful pocket slip he made and sent to me as a gift. His work is phenomenal and the opposite side included my initials and is just as nice! I will always cherish this wonderful piece and the kind gesture, as well. :thumbup::thumbup::)
 
You're very welcome Rob. I really just did it for selfish reasons, I needed an escape from those dang wedding plans! Plus I love the old displays! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Congratulations on the new colours too, gifting or even renewing a paid membership always seems to be a drama for non-US members, glad you finally got it. Well done Mike :thumbup:
