Thank you David. :D

A thanks to all the men and women, especially to those who served till the end. We are a free nation because they payed the debt for all of us.

Many of us served, but not everyone made it home. We remember the fallen brave. May their memories be eternal.

It was my honor and pleasure. Thanks to all who remembered those who gave the last measure of devotion.

Memorial Day = Federal holiday for remembering the people who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Veterans Day = Federal holiday honoring people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

US Army 64-67

Anyone serving in the army of his country to protect its freedom and independence.
Military service is honorable work for a citizen of their country.

My respect for people who serve their country

U.S. Marine 66-69; 13 months in Chu Lai, South Vietnam, 5 months in Okinawa; Semper Fi; I think we should honor all on both days; Veterans and Memorial Day.

Well said Tex. Do we have to wait until they pass on to speak well of them? Any occasion that's close, I call the Colonel and thank him for the sacrifices he made to secure our freedoms. DM

Served 1985 to 1988, my era is considered cold war veterans. Proudest years of my life and one of the only things that I would do again even knowing what I know now and could go back. Would enlist today if I was not 50.

I know I am late but...served in the Navy April 1964 to March 1973 and February 1981 to retirement as a LCDR in May 1994. I am so proud of the current generation ov veterans. You have stepped up and have made us old timers proud. Special prayers for those who never made it home.
