Thank you, to all who have served in our armed forces keeping our great country save and free. My favorite bumper sticker reads...If you can read this, thank a teacher. If it's in English thank a veteran.

I get free breakfast at Hy-Vee and free lunch at Applebee's today.

That's special because it's a symbol of a wonderful thing........a societal appreciation for military folk.

America's appreciation of Veterans is truly heart warming (and can fill your stomach).

Yes, I gave a lot but I have also been given a lot. The G.I. Bill paid me all through college. I have virtually free health insurance with TRICARE and a nice retirement check.......and respect (and free food).

I thank my country........it's the best in the world.

Nice of folks to thank those who have served. I sorta didn't know I was a veteran until about 15 years ago. Before that I was just somebody who had been in the navy...

Times sure have changed.
