Just wanted to thank everyone at Emerson for their hard work and devotion.
I recently aquired a new CQC7B from another forum member(Thanks!) and it was really nice to have it along tonight during a situation I thought would never occur.
Anyways, the knife was perfect on arrival, and works great for me due to the blade length laws in Arkansas(under 3.5").
Best Regards,
Clayton

Hey, Clayton. Yeah, I love the fact that my CQC7B is perfectly legal here in Arkansas! Plus it is just big enough to intimidate those that might want to start something. I know I feel better when I have it on me. If you can, can you share the story about what happened tonight? I know my favorite thing is to read real stories about how a knife helped out in one situation or another. So, how about it? Can you share? Enquiring (sp?) minds want to know!

Ps: what part of Arkansas are you from? I'm living in Northwest AR, Springdale to be exact.

Hey Flinx, I live in Bentonville...small world. I learned a valuable lesson-always have a weapon available to your weak hand

Arkansans everywhere!

Clayton, a CQC7 in each front pocket would make for a nice setup.
Personally, I carry a RH Commander in the right front pocket, and a RH CQC7B in the left front. Excellent setup.

Yes, the Cmdr is just a tiny hair

over the legal limit, but I've never had any problem with it or heard of anyone being hassled over it. Have you?

Hey Flinx!
Springdale huh?
We need to see how many more Razorbacks there are on the boards and see about setting up an Arkansas Knife Knuts MGE (Meet, Greet, and Eat!) sometime!

Hey Ken, nice to see more BF guys from here. I've never had any problems carrying ANY knife in AR. Most police officers, apart from State Troopers, don't even know the law anyway. This is where "intent" and "reasonable" comes into play. Officer discretion still plays a big part here in AR.

Yeah, you got that right, Clayton. I've even asked a few officers who shop in my store about the law, and almost to a one, they reply "4 inches or less". I decided to do some digging on my own, just to be completely safe, and I discovered the 3.5" law. Amazing ain't it? But you can't blame them, I mean after all, they can't be expected to memorize EVERY law on the books, can they?

Ken, sounds like a great idea!!!

Yes, you must have been reading my mind, another Psychic Friends Network Wannabe.

Furthermore, your threat to give us another President was not taken lightly...

You should be sentenced to a term of being Caretaker of the New Clinton Library!

Knowing the law, and making up the law because you don't have a clue are two different things. Most state troopers that I have come in contact with at work have their heads screwed on straight, and are aware of the "under 3.5 inches" law. If an officer doesn't know, he should keep his mouth shut till he finds out. This type of disregard for justice is the reason we have problems at airports and other security checkpoints. People make it up as they go along.

Actually, no offense intended, the whole thing is a silly game of symbolism.

As I am always quick to say, when they make almost everything illegal, it does not matter anymore.

Feel free to stop by and visit the new Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock.
You'll know it by the big sign on the front of the building.
