I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the visitors to the Spyderco forum(s). It's easy to be proud of such a group.

You demonstrate intelligence, knowledge, maturity and a willingness to share information. You are responsible, you welcome newcomers. You are very friendly. You make my job easy and I would like to thank you for your time, attention and support.

Thanks Sal, for taking my ugly green money and replacing it with so many things of beauty and usefulness. I just got a lum chinese this week and I love it. I said that would be it for a while, and then bought a micarta calypso off ebay. Dang my weak will.

You're thanking us???:)

Well then..........Thank-You too Sal!!!

From my perspective, Sal, most of the thanks should be directed towards you personally.

First, you have made a great company that makes many fine knives. Then, you give of your own time to come to the two forums and talk with us. And listen to us. Guess maybe that is the biggest item for which thanks ought to be expressed. The "top dog" of no other knife company of your size of which I'm aware, gives so much to his customers.

Given the tenor of other forums here, I think that your presence and attitude have quite a bit of influence on the manner in which the forumites who participate operate. It is a warm, friendly place to be, as is your own forum. My daily start on the forums is to go to the company forum, then come here. After that is taken care of, I go to the other forums.

So, thanks to you, Sal.

Indeed, if anyone is to be thanked, it's Sal and the SpyderFolks themselves.

Sometimes I wonder if they go *too* far in listening to everything we say, and in coming out with all sorts of new models--presumably to keep detail-obsessed maniacs like us happy. I don't want to see Spdyderco suffer by neglecting Endura sales in Asia (or what have you) just to come out with the latest offbeat collaboration model. But then I recall that Sal has been doing this for a long time, and he knows what he's doing.

I can't think of another company that comes close.

Sal and company go out of their way to take care of us here on the forum and they go out of their way to take care of the folks that don't visit the forum, too.

I sent a knife back last week for repair without posting "Sal Help!" and Mike in repairs called me right away and solved the problem. Fast, friendly and professionally. My point is, you don't have to be a member here to enjoy the great customer service from Spyderco. They take care of each indiviual problem individually. No favoritism, just good old fashion service. Someone asked the other day if Spyderco goes too far taking care of people--are they losing money with their exchange program and their flexible warranty. Maybe they do, but they also have mine and your loyalty, too. Who do I trust for a production company? Spyderco, Buck and Camillus. What companies do I buy from? Spyderco, Buck and Camillus. What production forums do I visit? You got it!

Sorry for the ramble, but I am very pleased with this company and the big guy who runs it.

Thank you!

Since my every day carry is starmate I have to be greatful.

All the best to you and your loved ones.

Greetings

P.S.: Thank You to the spyder-crew!

For what Spyderco helped me through there could never be enough thanks.

Keep it up Sal.

What more can you say? Spyderco rocks!! :D
Keep up the great work Sal, Joyce, and all!

Sal

Thank you for a company that makes a good product, stands behind their product, and is not afraid to try something new.

I don’t think we here have thanked you for the BFC Native and the Gray Matriarch. I remember you saying that you lost on both of these but you did not let us down and continue to listen to all of our wild ideas.

THANKS

Sal,

In discussions both here and in person you have been very patient with myself and others who want to offer our latest "great idea" for what Spyderco just has to do next.

History has shown that from time to time we actually do come up with a good idea. Deciding which ones will sell and which won't has to be difficult. I applaud your success and your forsight.

I just bought a Merlin and a Military and I have to state some facts:

- These are very sharp knives. I just lost a whole strip of hair on my arm due to a sharpness test :)
- The workmanship and finish are great. I have had a lot of knives, but these realy stick out.
- You have just gained a very appreciative customer.

So, thank YOU for producing such excellent knives.

Thank YOU Sal! You keep making them, and I will keep buying them...deal?;)

Its a great bunch of people we have here and I for one feel very privilaged to be here and that you Sal take the time to talk to us! How many OTHER knife companies ignore the customer today? NOT THIS ONE!:D

Like everyone else here, I've always been impressed not only that Sal participates here, but how much he participates. Patiently listening to suggestions, even asking for some! The fact we have an ear with the president of Spyderco and crew is testament to the company.

More than once, I have also seen Sal come to the defense of other makers who were under criticism on the forums, which is further proof of Sal's integrity.
Jim
