Took my son Tyler to his first Blade show.He was very excited. He had been saveing sence Jan so he could buy his first good knife with moeny he saved himself. That knife was a Swamp Rat Howling Rat.They said we got the last two.
Jerry was great with him and signed the sheath.
I would like to give a BIG Thank You to Jerry and the crew. Many knife makers do not pay much attention to the kids and IMO that is a mistake. They are the knife knuts of the future and when they go to a show and get a warm welcome by folks like the Busse crew they will remember it.I know Tyler will remember it from now on.
THANKS

U812 - I wish I had met you! I'm the guy in the background with the black backpack and the ball cap!

Sweet score for the young'un!

Thats one bad thing about Blade, never know who anyone is.

u812 that is what it's about, i have more fun taking my nephews shooting, hunting, etc, CONGRATS your boy will never forget this

Awesome pics, U812! Congratulations, Tyler, that's one fantastic knife!

I was able to make it to Blade once, and it was made that much better because I took my oldest son. We'll go again, but we'll always remember that year especially.

Cool.. Thats a great first quality knife. Good stuff.. I know, as a kid I was always very gretful when seller would pay attention to me and not just the older blokes with the cash..

I know the folks working behind the table would love it if everyone put their forum name on their VIP passes. We talk to so many people during the three days that remembering everyone's name is nearly impossible, at least for me.

Jerry, on the other hand, seems to remember all the names. Just one of the Boss Hog's many talents. :D

Congratulations Tyler on the purchase of your first Rat. I forsee membership in the Order of the Cheese Wheel in your future.
