On November 24th I made my first post after lurking for only about six days. I posted to the Becker Knife and Tool forum because recently I had received a Becker BK2 and was utterly amazed by the knife. Not only was the knife an incredible piece of metal, it had limitless potential for modifications; all those things we do to make something really and truly ours.

I mentioned I was looking for another pair of the scales, and in less than an hour one of the members here stepped forward and offered to give me a pair, for free. Several days later, I posted asking if anyone knew where I might go just to order the back part of the sheath. Within fifteen minutes another member graciously offered to send me the piece I wanted. Then, after checking my email for the first time in days, I find that yet another member wants my address to send me a gift.

In less than two weeks three different people have stepped up and made me feel more welcome than anywhere else on the internet. Everyone else in the Becker subforum has been awesome as well. For that, for the kindness, the consideration, and everything, I feel I owe everyone here a big thank you. This is a great forum, and probably the best collection of internet people I have met yet. You guys are just plain awesome!

I am trying to get to my 75 posts so I can get be an official Beckerhead, and normally it would be kinda difficult, I am not a frequent poster on any forum. Yet so many thing interesting threads have sprung up, so many awesome ideas have been shown, I think I will have no problems.

MikeyJ: A huge thanks to you. Those scales are on my TacTool right now, and I feel great knowing I have a spare set should my handle modifications go awry.

moosez45: Thanks a ton for shipping me that sheath back. I appreciate it immensely.

Bushman5: I can't wait to see what you have in store for me. Whatever it is, you have my gratitude for just the consideration alone.

Everyone else: Thanks for being an awesome group of people, for posting some amazing pictures of your adventures and the tools that make that possible.

Mr. Becker: Thank you for creating such a well-thought tool that enables all of this. Your knife will be something I can pass on to my kid. Unless of course I decide to have it buried with me...

Thanks to all of you.

Derek

Derek, you are most welcome! I am glad I could help!

Welcome to BF, and especially to the Becker subforum!! We're all happy to have you!!

Just wanted to share. Buddy of mine at work just recently found an interest in knives so today I took my BK2 in for him to check it out. He has a few cheap folders, a Gerber machete and a USMC KaBar. Said he never heard of BK&T before. He fell in love with it. Asked several times today to look it over like a little kid with a new toy. Finally told me that he will have one of these soon.

OOOPPPS... meant to be a new thread. Think I need sleep.
