My "little" project from Chuck (ChuddyBear) arrived today and I could not help but to take a pic or two, although my pics are nowhere near as good as his original pics were (are). This rig is awesome and, as you can see, it fits two of my favorites perfectly.
I love the SHBM (possibly my favorite Busse knife) and felt that it would be a good choice for this type of piggy-back Dundee rig since it is a bit lighter than the FBMLE. I also wanted to utilize my "Banned" Meaner, which was thinned to become an outstanding slicer. A little longer and perhaps a smidgen heavier than an AD, which might be the first choice for a lot of folks, but it still fits nicely with the SHBM and still weighs less than the FBMLE/AD combo.
I was never good at knife handle color coordinated combinations, but I think she looks really good. BTW, in case anyone is wondering, that is Duratac Overgrip tape on the SHBM handle. It makes her VERY grippy, and all but eliminates the dreaded pinky issue that folks may experience when chopping with her.
I hope you guys like setup! Thanks again, Chuck. I could not be happier!
