I just go back from vacation and in my mail box was a Swamp Rat Vex. I really like the feel of this knife. Thanks for hooking me up, with the knife, Amy-O.
The Vex is the Bussekin sleeper knife....I hope Jerry takes notice and pumps out some more EDC type knives with no choil and talon hole.
Your Welcome!!!!
Did you have fun on vacation???![]()
Went to Gatlinburg for a couple of days. It was fun, but crowded. I'm sure Busse doesn't want to hear this but I dropped a few bucks at the Smokey Moutain KnifeWorks just down the road from Gatlinburg. It's always good to go on vacation.
WHAT
Only kidding..I am just glad that you had a AWESOME Vacation![]()
A choil is typically after the handle - the finger groove on the vex isn't what most people would call a choil in the traditional sense.
Wasn't it Gatlinburg in mid july where "a boy named sue" found his dirty maingy Pa dealing stud?Went to Gatlinburg for a couple of days. It was fun, but crowded. I concur for sure!! The D2 knives from Wauseon have been IMHO some of the most seriously overlooked blades out there. The heat treat that Busse/Swamp/Yard gives them goes a long way to mitigate D2's general tendency for chipping of brittle edges. The hammer-blow torture test that the Swamp had a deputy sheriff do shows that, with the right heat treat, D2 can achieve very high levels of toughness. The Vex is the Bussekin sleeper knife...
