Hey Everyone--First of all,I'd like to thank everyone for making my 1st month on BF very enjoyable. Alot of people have really helped me and been very gracious and patient when I've made rookie mistakes. I can't name you all,but I'd like to thank Scott Mitchell,Harry Rubinstein,Randall Swindle ,knifehunter-sorry don't know your name,and many others.I've collected knives for years,but never seen anything like the Busse's. I've purchased 9 knives this month and sold many more to pay for them. Secondly,does anyone know someone good who can do a convex grind on a SWKW Regulator that I bought as a user?? Thanks Everyone Ron

A full convex or just the edge?

if it is a full convex I would send it out.
if it is the edge use the sandpaper/mouse pad deal then a leather strop with compound.

Thanks for the replies. I'd like to do a full convex. Guys ,remember I'm a rookie. I'm not sure who Garth and Ban are. All of the NMFBM's,etc......... are confusing enough. Thank goodness for the Busse Collector website Ron

Has anyone sent in a knife to Busse to get a convex grind?

I was thinking of doing that for a couple of knives.

I have a dumpster mutt LE i got from a guy a while back who messed with the edge, the edge dosent hold up to my standards and i have been thinking about putting a convex edge on the mutt. I might have to send mine out to one of these guys.

Garth = Busse
Ban = Not Busse
:D

Not Busse = Nothing Negative towards Ban:cool:

It may be blasphemous, but I like the look of bans frosted finish better than the factories a little bit.

They're both high quality, but I like bans brushed look better. It looks different than the factory satin, not better, but different. I got a new grinder that'll be here soon and some scotchbright belts, so we'll see how it turns out.

Ban's work is amazing:cool:

What grinder did you decide on?

Tried to email Ban and didn't get a reply. Nate at norcalblacktail was very helpful
