I got my replacement handle and finally got it on my Ranger hammer poll hawk. Thanks for the help in getting my hawk back up to spec(the original handle had been cut down by previous owner). It fits me a lot better now :)

A couple questions:

Are the Rogers Rangers handles tear-dropped shape or oval shaped?

And does ATC make Cold Steel tomahawks? Why do CS 'hawks come with an "American Tomahawk Company" sticker on them?

Thanks.

Teardrop on the RR's...

Cold Steel's use of our name is a matter highly disputed by this office. American Tomahawk Company doesn't manufacture anything for Cold Steel.

I attended the Washington Arms Collectors gun show in Monroe, WA last weekend and one of the dealers had one of these CS Hawks with an American Tomahawk sticker. I had never looked at a CS hawk before so I asked to pick it up. The fellow was busy with other things and gave me a grunt which I took as a go ahead.

It was a hammer pole hawk with I'm guessing an eighteen inch handle. I picked it up at the bottom of the handle and the blade slipped right down the handle to my thumb. The whole thing felt cheap. Not even worth the twenty dollar price tag.

Made me appreciate my VTAC all the more.

if you want my review of a cs hawk its garbage :barf: you need a roll of duct tape to keep the head on. i've had a rr spike for a long time and not a complaint yet. it's a great woodsman tool :)
