Got my new sheath from azwelke for my BK9 in the mail today. I ordered the tan one, plain(no attachment) and the firesteel loop. Quality is awesome! I've been playing with different set ups with the sheath. Right now I have the mounting bracket from my BK2 sheath and Tek Lok attached, and then the ESEE survival pouch attached with paracord through the eyelets since they're a little too wide to fit. It's securely attached, but I'm not sure I even want a pouch on it. We'll see. I think I may just go with molle locks or something. The retention is excellent. Here are a few pics.

Nice setup. I'm trying to figure out a sheath for my 9 and it nice to see the front and back pics like these to size it up. Thanks for the pics.

Nice.
Check if the Esee pouch will fit horizontally. It does on my sheath from Al for BK9 or a knife of similar size... You could put on 2 if you wanted...:D

I like the scales your BK9 is wearing. I assume they are painted and filed micarta?

Thanks! Not painted, per say... Actually, It was kind of just messing around and it turned out that way... other than the black spots, those are actually just sharpie, which works very well on the micarta.

I started off with the plain factory micarta, put some green food coloring on a paper towel and dabbed it along the grips. Let it sit for about 5-10 min.. then rinsed.. then took them outside and god some mud on my hands and really worked it into the grips just to dirty them up a little bit.. then rinsed again. After that, I just took the Sharpie and started adding the camo blobs... I was sure how much I liked it at all when I first did it.. but it quickly grew on me.

The lines are just small triangular file. Not very aggressive but provide just a little bit more friction. No hot spots. I thumped on this blade quite a bit on last weekend's camping trip and they held up great.

Nice rig, dont think I have ever seen that set-up. TekLok on the factory BK2 sheath's belt attachment. Clever.

Thanks man. I think I got the idea from someone on here actually(or maybe youtube). The 3 holes on the loop actually line up perfectly. The mounting bracket is actually really nice, just that cheap nylon loop sucks. The tek lok makes it pretty nice.

I have since changed the set up again. haha. No pouch on it right now, and moved the firesteel up to the top front. The sheath is awesome, but with so many holes, there are so many options! :D

Uncle Malice, Nice pics and nice set up!
Thanks for all the kind words!
I appreciate the support and love the BK9!!
