I got a very nice surprise this afternoon, when an unexpected parcel arrived from Blaine (bwperdue). Inside was this wonderful book about Pittsburgh, which I'm sure will be absolutely fascinating reading, and two nicely-made lanyard fobs. Many thanks Blaine, you made my day

I have that book for the town I live in now, somehow it never even occurred to me that it would also exist for the town I grew up in. (I'm guessing it'll be a more interesting book too -- where I live now was just a farm community until comparatively recently. Lots of photos of fields and small-town main street.)

Very Nice! Loving those lanyards. Also, in response to your pic in the traditional getting a workout thread.....Great knife, lanyards.....but, being from Boston, I have to say that Pittsburgh will not be among my favorite places for the next week or two.....Go Bruins!

LOL! I'm too old and grumpy for that kind of nonsense...

I would be remiss if I didn't say that what we really have here is a lanyard exchange. Jack was kind enough to send me a couple of his creations a month or so ago, and I never managed to take pics of them. I shall do that this weekend.
