A while back I was talking about ordering a small(er) utility type knife for my belt, for those times when wearing my khuk would be impractical. Wound up ordering a JKM, but at the same time Bob sent me his plain wood handled, steel mounted Kumar Karda to try out. It's a great knife, and I'll probably wind up ordering one sooner or later, but right now my JKM fills the niche that needed filling. So, in order to honor Bob's request that the knife be put to good use in the war against terrorism I presented it to my motor sergeant, SSgt Delossantos, a.k.a. "Del". Del is one of those guys you can't go to war without, he's an incredibly good scrounger who can build practically anything out of practically nothing. He's done a heck of a lot around the camp, making things better for others. If a good man deserves a good knife, then he and that Kumar Karda belong together.
Thanks for pitchin' in Bob. Someday soon I'll track down my outfit's digital camera (cameras treat me unkindly:barf: ) and take a group photo so all the guys in the Cantina that donated blades to Enduring Freedom can see where their blades wound up.

Great stuff and great guys. This is what I call a "feel good" post. 50 years ago today I was in Storekeeper's School at Newport, RI wondering if I would end up passing out grenades in Korea.

Glad to do my part. Now if only I can finish the model I owe to Not2sharp my conscience will be clean.
