I just about blew my part of my Anniversary Knife budget on that very nice Mud Razor on the exchange. You saved me from myself.

Even when you have a good plan, sometimes it tough sticking to it.

Your welcome!!!

I've been drawn to the Muddy ever since I saw the the regular one refinished in satin. I figure its a win / win if I decide to make it a user :D

I'm still toying with the idea of getting a muddy...sanding it down and cutting it would be pretty cool. I just wish they had come with mags...of course I could always send it in for mags! :D

Yeah...just might have to put that one back on the list....Great!...thanks alot guys!!:grumpy:

Did you know it had an asymmetric grip, very very kool IMHO.

Yeahhhh...I've seen some pretty good pictures of it. You'll have to put a review of it compared to mags. You don't really know how the handles feel until you get your mitts around them. So maybe I would like em, but I do know what the mags feel like and I like them for sure! :D

I'll let you know as soon as it gets here, maybe I can do some side by side photos.

The mags feel better for chopping, the asymmetrical scales feel better for everything else. That's how it works for me at least. You can't go wrong either way. The best thing about the MudRazor is that it doesn't have CBT. I was thinking about getting Tan mags on mine back when I had one....that would be AWESOME!

My thought exactly.

But if you are left-handed, you are out of luck with the asymmetry. Only righties need apply.

I don't like mags on the SF handle. They are too. . . . funkyfeeling.

Now a good set of mags on a Fusion handle - THAT'S nice to me. But the mag SF handle just feels disjointed. I was glad to sell away my HR after I scored a Mud Razor late last year.

I found the whole Razor line to be a bit light for chopping anything meaningful. I need something with a bit more heft for that. So that's not an issue for me.

I'm thinking the Razor line wasn't intended for chopping....more like Stabbing!

Not a bad point about the size of the mags to the thinness of the steel...I dunno, the mags just feel better to me...fills my hand more than the standard grips. Least they felt better on the Hell Razor I had. Who knows maybe I'll get the chance to see how the Muddy's handles feel someday...until then, Greg's upcoming review will have to do.

Comparison photos as promised, I'll be back later today to give my impression of the three.

Based on just handling them in my home office and not actually using them in the field, the most "natural" feel in the hand has to be the Mud Razor. That said I really like the size and shape of the mags, it feels just right for every day use. However with the mag carrying the Razor IWB is almost out of the question for me. So for EDC my choice is between the regular and Asymmetric grips. In general the clean lines of the Mud Razor are stunning, I'm very tempted to send this one back to Garth for a custom Satin finish ... maybe after the Blade dust settles and Garth has slept for more then 4 hours a day :D

Cool deal Greg! Thanks for posting them bro....now let's hear those results!
