The Emerson Knives sevice department are sending me some screws at last. Thanks Derek and Carrie for your help, I appreciate it.
A little bit of customer service goes a long, long way. Thanks again.

Peter, I don't work for Emerson. Thanks for coming on with this though.

It clearly illustrates a point.

Whenever someone has a problem, the Trolls come in this Forum and more or less start crying like little kids about how Ernie is getting rich and we are all fools.

When Emerson corrects something or does something good...crickets chirp.

Since I am more or less one of "The Usual Suspects" now, I would think that we need a special category and yearly trophy for, "The Usual A-Hole." Start out with everyone that comes in this forum with ulterior motives.

Not you though.

I agree Don, I don't begrudge Ernie for making a good living. He's worked hard for it and now it's paying off. No one forces people to buy his knives - he must be doing something right.

Well, I'm an FNG here, but so far, from what I've seen - not too many trolls, and a ton of good guys who love Ernie's work. Aside from the few problems I've seen mentioned here (that have all been resolved one way or another, thank you very much), all I've heard is good about Mr. Emerson and his product. Sure, QC may be an issue - but with the sheer number of pieces he turns out these days, some bad apples have to get in with the good - laws of probability. OK, I'll get off the soap box now. Just gotta say that it's great here, I've learned a lot already, and I plan to hang around for a bit.
