Today Jacks pipe tool arrived and it has made friends with the pipe lighter Elliott sent me, thanks again fellas, very generous of the two of you.

That's a very cool tool that Jack sent you, Peter. Speaking for myself (and I'm sure for our friend Jack as well), you are very, very welcome.

I hope you enjoy them for years to come with fond memories of your friends.

Glad it made the journey Pete. Like I told you, it's a battered old thing! :) As Elliott says, you're very welcome, and it was a pleasure to be able to play a part in one of Elliott's many acts of generosity, and to be able to give something back to a forum that has given so much to me. Enjoy your pipe! :)

It's identical to the one I used to clean out my father's pipes as a boy :)

If there are a few pipe smokers on this forum I might look out for some more

I'm almost afraid to ask about pipe smoking in merry old England, land of the great Dunhill. Are there many pipe shops left?

Carl.

Pete - that´s a great setup from two real gentlemen! A very generous act of Elliott and Jack :)

Thanks for sharing this!

Still a few Carl, though there used to be a lot more (I can remember being dragged round them as a kid by my dad)! I don't know how independent tobacconists stay open really, but I'm glad they do. I haven't smoked for 35 years, but I still enjoy going in them, and they do sell lots of other good stuff, such as shaving tackle, and even, very occassionally, pocket-knives!

Pete, I got your note and gift today. Thank you so much. It sure wasn't necessary but it is very much appreciated and will be a symbol and reminder of friendship. Thanks again.
