Thanks everyone for all your prayers!! I just found out today at 1:50 p.m. that I passed the last test!! I will be starting my new job on July 23, 2001. Closer commute for me, and a better P.D. Department to begin with than S.F..

All your prayers made me feel real good for the test. After the test, I was listening to the radio (while driving home) and all the songs that I currently like were all played! I guess it's God's way of telling me that things are o.k.:D

Thanks again, and once again I'll say that I am proud to be part of this forum.

P.S. I did bring along my first Khukuri (that my wife got me as a Christmas present) as a good luck charm.

Uncle, did the picture get to you yet?

Good going, BA. I never had any doubts. I got the pix and they are great. I think I'll have time to scan and post a couple tomorrow.

Ray when us ndns pray. we pray for things to be fixed up in a good way or a good and gentle way.
The reason for that is because when we pray for others it may be to help them get off a self destructive path and that since we have no way of knowing what the Grandfathers have in mind for that person we have to be very careful. The reason is that if the Great Mystery takes that persons spirit home then they will indeed be off the self destructive path, but that if we pray that things be done in a good way that the Grandfathers will find a different way to help the person learn their lesson that's being taught them in a better and different way.

And we're also taught to be careful what we pray for because we will probably get it.
I pray that your new job will be all that you prayed for and that it's in a good and gentle way.

Prayers will also continue for you and all the other LEO's and Firefighters and others who put themselves into danger to be kept safe in a good and gentle way.
All of you need all the good help you can get in the jobs that you do daily that would make some of the rest of us cower in shame.

Yvsa.

Congratulations BA!!:D  :D

Glad all the well wishes and prayers did the trick.

I don't suppose bringing a huge shiny, curved, sharp knife to the test might have swayed the examiners any?;)

just kidding, I'm sure you earned it fair and square:D

Great news!!!! :) Now remember if pull one of us over for speeding you will have to let us go free for all our good prayers we sent you!!!!:p

And like Yvsa, I pray too for good men doing the jobs no one should have to do that no-one else wants to touch.

I even pray for the other ***'s to realize what they're doing to hurt others, reform, and change their ways before what goes around comes around.

( Unfortunately I haven't gotten beyond requesting that if they don't, and what goes around comes around to them with a vengeance, I want tickets to the event. The gallows scene in "Braveheart" comes to mind. Seats down front about 6 to 8 yards back so laundry isn't too big a problem. )

:D:D:D

Congrats BA!!! That is the best news I've heard all week :)

Have a great (and safe) 4th!

Alan

Great News, BA! It really does help knowing that a group of folks are praying for you when it's down to you, the test, and the Almighty! Congrats! I remember the feeling well. Ya see, this plumber used to wear Kevlar ;) Take it easy and most importantly, be safe!:D

If your latin is rusty " Make my day" :D :D
